Kate Donegan: New Principal of Ensworth Elementary, Dennis Foster Jr.

Kate Donegan has been selected as the new principal of Ensworth Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, starting on July 1. She will be replacing Dana Pedersen, who has resigned to relocate.

Superintendent Steven Cook expressed excitement about Donegan joining the administrative team. Donegan is currently the principal at Trillium Creek Primary School in West Linn-Wilsonville School District and has held the position since 2019. Previously, Donegan served as an instructional coordinator at Trillium Creek, supporting staff with instructional strategies. With 15 years of teaching experience, Donegan has worked as a classroom teacher, learning specialist, and reading specialist at various elementary schools.

Donegan stated, “I am thrilled to become part of the Ensworth community... making our school a place where every child thrives and realizes their greatest potential.”

Additionally, Dennis Foster Jr. has been chosen as the new Assistant Principal at Pilot Butte Middle School, replacing Jessica Gambee who is transitioning to the Principal position at Pilot Butte. Foster currently serves as Assistant Principal at Cheldelin Middle School in Corvallis and will start at Pilot Butte on July 1.
