The City of Austin reports that there may be icy spots this morning. Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services has recorded an increase in calls related to slips and falls. Officials advise residents who are leaving home to use railings, fences, or walls for support, to treat wet spots as potentially icy by testing their footing, and if a slip occurs, to bend their knees and sit down to lessen the impact.
