The Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Sarasota is hosting a Kids and Officers Promoting Solidarity (K.O.P.S.) event on Monday, February 9 at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, located at 1845 John Rivers (34th) Street in Sarasota. The event is designed for children to interact with Sarasota Police officers through sports, games, and conversation.

The schedule is split into two age groups: children aged 8 to 11 will participate from 5 to 7 p.m., and those aged 12 to 15 will take part from 7 to 9 p.m. Free pizza dinner will be provided by Evie’s Tavern & Grill on Main Street. Parents are required to sign their children in at the front desk upon arrival.

The event is in partnership with Sarasota Police Department, Sarasota County Schools, and the City of Sarasota Parks and Recreation Department.
